At the Zimbabwe Institute of Geomatics (ZIG), we firmly believe that collaboration is key to fostering a strong and vibrant professional community. That’s why we were thrilled to accept the invitation from the Survey Institute of Zimbabwe (SIZ) to join them at a social sports and networking event held on the 2nd of March, 2024 at Ellis Robins School in Harare.
The day was a perfect blend of fun and networking, where professionals, students, and youth came together to celebrate our shared passion for geomatics. As representatives of ZIG, we eagerly participated in various activities, including football matches that brought together teams from different organizations.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to co-join teams with SIZ and compete against the team from the Surveyor General’s office and the Harare Stars Youth team. This collaboration not only showcased our sporting prowess but also highlighted the unity and camaraderie among professionals in our field.
Beyond the competitive spirit on the field, the event provided a platform for meaningful connections and exchanges.
We engaged in fruitful discussions, shared experiences, and forged new friendships, reinforcing the importance of networking in our industry.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Survey Institute of Zimbabwe for extending the invitation to us and for organizing such a fantastic event. This collaboration exemplifies the spirit of unity and cooperation that is essential for the growth and advancement of our profession.
